dynamic testing to test packaging containers

by:Lisson     2020-05-28
In order to test the impact of shipping conditions on packaging containers, many test strategies have been followed.
One of the main tests performed on packaged products is the effect of continuous vibration.
This can be effectively tested with the help of a shaking table.
The vibration test machine is designed to scientifically simulate the vibration and bumps of various filling containers in the laboratory during transportation.
The machine is based on the guidelines provided in astm d-999, TAPPI T-817-Pm and IS7028 (part II).

Why is dynamic testing required?
The design of the packaging container is to achieve the purpose of packaging and transportation, and to achieve the main purpose of physical protection of the contents of the packaging inside.
Usually, transportation is either by road, by rail, by sea and by air, or by a single or various combination of these methods.
During transportation, the packaging container is subject to vibration and bumps of different strength.
It is quite difficult to create these vibrations as a whole.
This is why, for the purpose of testing, the vibration table is used to create actual vibration conditions within the laboratory.
The vibration tester provides the best way to determine the impact of vibration on packaged products and helps to derive the behavior of materials during product distribution.
The test was carried out to measure the performance of the container in terms of strength and to be protected during vibration during transportation.
Calculate acceleration = amplitude x w2 where w = rad/sec (
2 x PI x frequency)
What is the difference between the vibration table of Presto?
Presto®The vibration tester is made of MS structure.
The upper table top is suspended by the bearing block for vibration.
Fixed amplitude of 25.
4mm is generated using the cam component.
The vibration frequency can be changed from 2 Hz to 6Hz using the panel box.
The machine can produce vibration in three modes.
The position of the positioning pin and chain sprocket selects the mode and movement of vibration.
Positioning pin should be replaced (
Remove and insert to another location)
Change the movement of one vibration at a time.
Changing the position of the positioning pin will change the vibration movement from vertical to circular.
There are four holes (
0, 30, 60 and 90 degrees)
On the Cam board.
When the hole on the Cam board is connected to the sprocket Bolt, it changes the relative position of the rear cam assembly relative to the front cam assembly.
At 0 degrees, the vibration mode is synchronized, and in other positions, the mode is asynchronous.
The machine is equipped with panels.
The panel has an input voltage of 220 V, 1 Ph, 50Hz.
The output of the panel is provided to the motor, which drives the shaking table through a set of pulleys.
Through the arrow keys provided on the panel, the frequency of the table can change from 0 to 6Hz.
And displayed on the panel.
A timer is also provided on the panel to set the test duration.
