Cr12, Cr12MoV steel carbon and alloy element content is higher, and formed a lot of eutectic carbides, the carbides in the forging is small, easy to strip and reticular segregation, often leading to quenching crack along the banded carbide distribution, mould in use cracks further expand, die cracking caused by failure.
