The first step: cosmetic aluminum tube stamping, trimming, annealing

The raw material of cosmetic aluminum tube is aluminum sheet with 99.7% aluminum purity. After the aluminum sheet is shaped into a tube in the punching machine, after trimming, the tube mouth and tube tail are trimmed, and the thread mouth is cut out. As the hardness of the stamped aluminum tube is too high, it must be baked in a high temperature oven at 3,500 degrees Celsius to soften it, which is called annealing.


Step 2: Internal spraying

If the filling content is likely to have a chemical reaction with the cosmetic aluminum tube metal, a protective film must be coated on the inner wall of the cosmetic aluminum tube. The raw material is usually epoxy phenolic resin. In practice, according to the properties of the content, such as corrosiveness, and the sensitivity to the metal, determine whether to perform internal spraying, and whether to perform double-layer internal spraying.

The third step: primer and printing

The outer wall of the aluminum tube is often coated with a layer of protective polyester resin, usually white, called primer. Its purpose is to form a protective film on the surface of the aluminum tube, which can provide it in the event of a slight collision. Buffer, reduce scratches, dents and damage. After the primer is finished and cooled, the aluminum tube is sent to the offset printing machine for text and pattern printing. The pre-designed brand logo, explanatory text and warnings are printed on the aluminum tube. Special printing methods, such as bronzing and silver, are also very common.

Step 4: Upper cover

After the aluminum tube is printed, cover it again. The cover is usually made of PP or PS plastic material, with various colors and styles, but it is usually selected according to the attributes of the product and the customer's design, which has both functionality and beauty. 

Step 5: Putting on the tail glue

If the product content easily reacts with air or moisture, or if you are concerned about leakage of the content and want to improve the seal, it is recommended to put a tail glue on the inner wall of the tail of the tube. After the tail glue is applied, the tail can be sealed, which can improve the sealing performance, more effectively isolate the air and moisture, and ensure the shelf life of the product. The width of the tail glue can be adjusted according to actual needs. The wider the width, the better the sealing effect.
