How to decide the sizing of your aluminum squeeze tubes

2022-10-20

Aluminum squeeze tubes are a great way to package your product. They provide excellent protection from moisture, light, and other contaminants that can affect the taste, smell and texture of your food products. The size of an aluminum tube is important in order for it to be able to hold its intended volume without spilling over during shipping or delivery. With the following five considerations, you can determine the best size for your aluminum squeeze tube packaging. Good luck!

First Consideration: fill volume

First, consider the amount of product you want to put in your tube. Fill volume is the amount of product that can fit inside a given size aluminum squeeze tube. For example, if your tube has an 8-ounce capacity and you want a 5-ounce squeeze tube with two layers of aluminum foil on top and bottom (a double layer), then your fill volume is:

●8 ounces x 2 = 16 ounces

●16 ounces / 5 gallons = 3 tablespoons per gallon

Second Consideration: product thickness

The second consideration is product thickness. In most cases, thicker products require thicker tubes to accommodate them. If you're using a tube with a diameter of 0.25 inches or less and want to use your squeeze tube for larger-than-average products like diapers or clothing, then you'll need something more than 25 feet long (or about 6 feet).

According to aluminum squeeze tube manufacturers, thickness also affects the weight of the product itself, and in some ways this can be more important than how much air can fit into each gallon of fluid inside the tube! A thick material will take up more space inside your aluminum squeeze tube than its thinner counterpart.

Third Consideration: product application

The third consideration is product application. This one is a bit more involved and may require some research, but it's well worth the effort.

First, think about what you're using the tubes for,are they for packaging or storing? If so, what do your options look like? Do you have any specific requirements (e.g., don't want them to be damaged during shipping) or preferences (e.g., prefer not to use glass)? If so, go back and check out our guide on choosing an aluminum squeeze tube packaging material!

Fourth Consideration: capped and assembled tube

The capped and assembled tube is the most common type of aluminum squeeze tube packaging because it's easy to fill, easy to use and easy to ship. This type of squeeze tube has a cap on one end that can be removed when filling the tube with your product. The end of the cap has a small hole in it which allows you to insert a straw into it easily so that you can drink from your bottle directly without having any issues with getting air trapped inside or leaking out onto your hands during drinking time!

After you've decided on the right size, it's time to think about the other factors.

●Consideration for your product: The product that you're using your tubes for must be considered when choosing the right size. For instance, if you're using them in a chemical process that produces volatile compounds, then it might be best to use a larger tube because any contaminants will tend to collect around where they're stored and have a greater chance of leaking out into other areas of the workspace or even offsite (if they aren't properly contained). If there's no danger of this happening, then smaller tubes could work just as well but won't be as easy to handle, and who wants that?

●Consideration for application: The type of application will also influence which size aluminum squeeze tube packaging works best. If it requires large amounts of force or pressure from both sides at once (such as pushing down on an object), then an extra-large one may not fit well between two pieces without causing damage due to its weight or length being too long/short respectively

It's tough to say which size tube is the best, since each situation calls for a different solution. The best type of tube will be determined by what you need it for and how much space you have available.
