plastic bottles into handbag: 9 steps (with pictures)

I was recently invited to a party and I found myself in need of a new handbag.
Since I really don\'t like to \"waste\" money for something I might just use a few times, I decided to do it for myself once.
I was a little rushed so far from being perfect, but I was very happy with the results.
My sewing skills and knowledge are very limited, so please forgive me if the instructions don\'t make much sense :)
Materials and tools I use: Materials: Tools: remove all labels from the bottle and remove sticky residue (
I like to use lighter liquids, but there are many other solutions on the internet if you don\'t/don\'t want to use this liquid).
Take the hobby knife and puncture the bottle after bending it.
Cut the top of the bottle with scissors.
Continue to cut the body of the bottle in a straight line until you reach the bottom.
Then cut the bottom of the bottle.
Wipe if necessary.
Print out the provided template and attach the first page to the worktop to keep it in place.
Put a bottle on the top of the template with a ruler and marker pen to draw the lines.
Three other repetitions.
Take the second and third pages of the template, tape the part to the countertop again, and trace the shape back to the bottle part.
Put the bottle piece into the sewing machine at one time and sew the thread with black thread.
Try to do it slowly as the plastic sheet does not always go through the machine smoothly and it will be stuck anywhere the surface is uneven.
After completion, cut the front and back, side and bottom.
Clean the bottle with cotton pads and alcohol.
Cut the corners of the bottom.
Score all sides of the bottom and sides with a hobby knife.
Don\'t be too harsh, you don\'t want to cut them off, it\'s just to make it easier to bend.
Bend the edge of the score.
Align and bind the front and side parts together.
Repeat for the side-back, back-side and side-front.
Cut the sharp bottom corner and draw a 1 cm line along the bottom.
Use a sewing machine to sew together 4 sides of the handbag.
Remove the line from the sewing machine needle and use the sewing machine to puncture the hole along the bottom of your drawing line.
Repeat the process for the bottom.
Place the bottom inside the wall of the handbag, align and bind.
Cut the stripes about 2 cm wide from the black fabric.
On each entry, enter about 0 in turn.
5 cm each on both sides.
Half fold, iron again.
Place the hem on the edge of the bag and sew it with a black thread with a pre-sewn hole.
Repeat the edges of all bags (
I found it easier to stitch the inside of the hem with a long needle first, then the outside.
In this way, I don\'t pay too much attention to the alignment of the hem).
Leave two top edges as they are now.
Sew the zipper between two pieces of black fabric and hem the edge.
Draw another 1 cm line along the top of the bag and wear it with a needle.
Align the zipper with the top of the bag and secure it with a binder.
Stitch together and repeat for the other side.
Fold the top of the bag.
If you don\'t have/can\'t find a belt like me, you can use two thin belts or a clip with something else.
If applicable, remove the clip from the belt and screw in the screw with two pieces of black fabric.
Back of the bag: align the end of the belt with one side of the bag, secure with a binder, and stitch together on both sides of the belt.
For the front of the bag: place the clip centrally on the front of the bag, secure it with a binder, and stitch the end together with the edge of the bag.
Sew the second belt.
I have been using pliers during this process because my fingers feel very tired from previous sewing.
Trace the insert template to the pink and green fabric and crop it.
Nail the pink cut, nail the sides together, and sew.
About 2 cm from the top UN. stitched.
Turn out the pockets inside, straighten the edges and nail them.
Do the same for green fabrics, but leave the smaller side open.
The machine sewed the edges to get more \"avant-garde\" look.
Then turn over the pink pocket inside and put the green inside so that the beautiful side of the fabric can face each other.
Stitch along the top.
Through the opening in the green fabric, once again turn the fragments inward and stitch the opening.
Straighten and secure the edges of the pink to the green fabric, and then sew.
Sew two pairs of buckles in the handbag with a cross pattern (male-female|female-male).
Measure the distance between the buttons and fix the capture button on the plug-in accordingly with the security pin.
The button should also follow the cross pattern.
Once fixed, put the plug-in into the bag and make sure the button is in the right position and position. Sew in place.
Although I am very happy with the results, there is still a lot to be improved.
When I started this project (
Like my other projects)
I have only one very vague idea of what I want to achieve and no plan ahead.
If I do another one like this, I may try to do more sewing with a machine, although it is difficult because the material is not adapted.
Also, I will definitely start using pliers very early, because by the end of the day I can barely move my hands.
If I don\'t have the time to press, I will also make the hand stitching more neat.
I hope you enjoy my guidance and if you decide to do one of them I will give free professional membership to the first three members (
